Chillie is a bright, energetic young kelpie with a heart full of love waiting to be shared. At just three years old, she's ready to start fresh and build a strong, lifelong bond with her chosen person. Once she trusts you, she'll become deeply attached and happiest when she's by your side.
We're looking for someone who understands the kelpie breed but can also work with a dog who may initially be wary. She needs time to build trust & feel safe. We are willing to send her out on a Foster-to-adopt arrangement to give her more time to decompress & adjust to the big changes in her life. Ideally, a prospective adopter would visit her more than once at the shelter in order to start building a bond with her.

- Best suited as the "only dog" initially, giving her the chance to bond closely with her human.
- An acreage property would be perfect, offering her space to run, play, and explore.
- A home where someone is around more often than not, as Chillie thrives on companionship and feels most secure when she's with her person.

Chillie has a past which has left her cautious around strangers. She needs a patient, understanding adopter who can provide stability, kindness, patience and positive reinforcement. With the right person, Chillie will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.

- Can pull on the lead, so she'll benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training to improve her loose-leash walking.
