Introducing Bear!
This gorgeous boy is a mix of Dachshund & Border Collie with a splash of Maremma thrown in.
With his slightly chaotic past behind him, this young lad is looking for a home where his people will be around more often than not. Prone to some separation anxiety, he would benefit from having a sociable dog friend or, at least, not too much alone time.
He will thrive once he feels the security of a loving home where he can experience routine, predictability, affection & all the things that make a dog feel safe.
He is an affectionate boy but has had a confusing time so needs time to build up a bond & be able to trust people. Being only 1 year old, he has been stuck in a yard with very little opportunity to mix with other dogs or explore the big wide world. He would love the chance to head out & discover the exciting things that go on beyond the back yard.
Taking into consideration his mix of breeds, he requires very secure fencing, he needs daily exercise for both his body & brain - these working breeds love to problem solve & love having a job to do. Break open those treats & get training!
Bear will make a fabulous companion & family dog but does need some time & patience as he finds his feet. Allowing him some decompression time is invaluable & he may well become the best friend you ever had.
