Meet Buddy - Big, Goofy, and Full of Love!
Buddy is a big, playful lad with a goofy charm and a heart as big as he is! He's eager to please, knows sit and lie down, and loves learning - especially when treats are involved.
Buddy can be unsure in new environments and needs a patient, confident owner to help him settle. He's strong lad and can pull on lead, so ongoing training with positive reinforcement is essential. His arousal can spike when overwhelmed, so calm handling and impulse control work will help him thrive.
He may need fear-free vet visits and possibly medication for handling stress. Solid 6ft fencing is recommended, and someone home more often than not will make him happiest, especially during the first few days to help him settle and gradually build confidence being alone.
Teens and older kids only, and they should be part of his training.
Buddy has lived with another dog and enjoys social dogs, but he's best matched with a calm companion. He's clever too-he can open screen doors, so a little management is needed!

- A property check may be required before ADOPTION to ensure the safety and welfare of adoption animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties. Differential pricing may apply.

- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
